Playing around on the new company iPad 2 recently, I have been surprised at the amount of websites that still use Adobe Flash. I don’t mean the odd use of Flash, but entire sites built using it, preventing me  from using them. Madness you say!

E-Commerce checking out! Getting it right.

With the country in recession and big name high street stores closing up shop (no pun intended) there is one route to market that is booming. E-commerce is still seeing growth as shoppers move online to grab the bargains. It is not a license to print money and if you don’t get it right you could actually lose customers.

Website design – a black art?

I recently helped a friend out, who is setting up a new venture with a couple of colleagues, all of whom have an entrepreneurial streak  in them.  They are young, enthusiastic and determined to make a success of their  new business and asked a designer to create a new website for them.  They thought that it would start working for them straight away, so you can image their disappointment when they didn’t instantly show up on Google.  So what went wrong, were they dabbling in a black art, or should their designer looked after them better?

Ipad 2 and Tablet PCs – Its not just about the hardware

The media and the internet has been sent into a frenzy after Apple’s Steve Jobs announced the release of the iPad 2 at a big media event in San Francisco.  A lot of the focus at the event was based around the updated hardware which generally was warmly welcomed.  Any device whether it be an iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, PC or Mac is only a platform for what the user can do with it.  It is the software on the device that brings it to life.

Setting realistic objectives for your website
