ayrmer software :: news :: ayrmer software wins new contract to develop an on-line stock control system for a chain of retail outlets :: september, 2010
We are delighted to announce that we have won a contract to develop an on-line stock control management system
for the Canoe Shops (Group) UK Limited and have
just completed the definition of requirements (specification); see
the importance of good business analysis and a written specification.
The documentation (shown below) is a fifty seven page document that describes the entire system; it includes prototypes of
the user interface, flow charts of key processes and detailed description of the proposed system. This ensures that they are no
surprises once the development work commences.
definition of requirements (specification) documentation
The Canoe Shops (Group) UK Limited is the umbrella company for eleven retail outlets that are
spread across Southern England and Southern Ireland. The proposed system will enable staff
through the retail group to manage stock, enabling them to source products across the organisation and
central hub (located in Lee Mill, Plymouth).
The proposed system will enable the eleven retail outlets to work off a single platform
and includes the core stock management system, point of sale and purchase / sales ledgers.
We are really excited about the project because the client is as passionate about kayaks and
canoes as we are about delivering bespoke business solutions that will ensure the business
can continue to grow over the coming years.
