Policy Price Search website launched
Following the successful launch of freetrawl.com,
last year, Ayrmer Software was awarded the contract to redevelop the trading platform for The Association of
Policy Market Makers. The system includes an application form accessed via the apmm.org
website as well as the main trading platform on policypricesearch.com.
Ayrmer Software provided a comprehensive definition of requirements,
detailing the existing system and proposing a number of enhancements to help streamline the business process and introduce a more dynamic user
interface - using Web 2.0 techniques.
The trading platform was rolled out with very little downtime, avoiding any disruption to the business. The system
handles client, life company and market maker communications including secure methods for client transfer.
The launch and reception went exceptionally well especially with the Market Makers who "have not had a single query since launch".
The new trading platform has allowed the business to "future-proof" developments, as Ayrmer Software can expand
the system as and when necessary.
An important element of the roll-out was the migration of the legacy data - over 2 million records in total - that was carried out
over a weekend to minimise any disruption to the day to day running of the system.
