Busy Living

Issues

Busy Living run a number of after school and holiday clubs for children. Most of the administration of these clubs was done manually or via spreadsheets, which was time consuming and cumbersome.

Outcomes

Busy Living initially approached Ayrmer Software after learning about the system we had developed for FiSH. Although the FiSH system matched a lot of Busy Living's processes, there were variations that needed to be customised for a better fit with their business.

Solution

Ayrmer Software developed a solution based on the FiSH system, although there were significant differences between the way the two businesses operate. These changes were first discussed and agreed in a definition of requirements (just like a full bespoke project).

Parents access the after school club booking system via the main Busy Living website and are required to either register or log in, before being able to access their dashboard that provides an overview of their details and previous bookings.

Parents can book their children in using the intuitive booking form that presents each session and allows parents to specify the drop off and pick up times.

Once they have selected any sessions they wish to book they can pay for them using vouchers, cash, credit or debit cards and receive confirmation and receipts via email.

The system has only just been launched, but is bedding in well and has taken over 130 bookings in the first two weeks!

After our initial discussions with Ayrmer, we found them to be methodical, understanding, proactive and concerned about providing the right software solution for our business. The attention to detail was very important to us and Ayrmer dealt with our queries appropriately and timely so that there was minimum disruption during the launch period. Since then all has progressed well and has made a huge difference to our administration.
